sleeping: so overrated

Some of you may know this about me, some of you may not.

But for some reason (which for the life of me I do not understand) I CANNOT sleep the night before I travel.

Most people say "Ohhh you're nervous about missing your flight?"

Ha. Yeah.

Those people clearrrrrrrrrrrly do not know me.

Those people clearly do not understand the concept of "Devon-time".

Those people clearly do not know that 15 minutes late is actually considered on time for me.

Those people clearly do not know that I have never made a plan more than 24 hours in advance without breaking out into hives.

Those people clearly do not know that it's rare (I mean realllllly rare) that I pack the night before my trip, and not in the morning.

(I've arrived places with one shoe-more than once)

Those people clearly do not know that the sense of "urgency" is simply not a part of my genetic make up.

(Tonight I actually left work, got my nails done, annnd watched the 1st 3 innings of the Dodger game before I bought a new suitcase-which I needed to pack-for my 7am flight-tomorrow)

What? I found one didn't I? And-it was 27 dollars and the nice lady gave it to me for 25 because she thought I was pretty (or crazy I couldn't make it out-but I'm going with pretty)

Ok. Tangent. Sorry. Point is-I have no idea why I suffer from this ummm condition (?) but alas, I do. I absolutely cannot sleep when I know I have to get up at 4am.

And NO, it's not because I'm "worried about missing my flight" I don't even "worry about running out of gas" when my gas gauge says "empty-check gauge"

So if anyone wants to chat-I'll be up.

Can't wait to get home!

Weddings, Engagements, 30th Birthday's - - - lot's of loved ones to celebrate- - - and I do love to celebrate...

To everyone at home-see you tomorrow.

To everyone here-see you in a week.

To everyone everywhere-I hope you're sleeping, because I am not.
